SCYTHER CARDS GUIDE (JP VER.?How do you tell Scyther cards apart?Check the number in the bottom corner (e.g. 123/165 on the 151 Scyther). The 1997–1998 cards have no set number — the No.123 on them is the Pokédex number — so go by the set symbol, level and art: LV.25 is the Pokémon Jungle holo, and LV.23 is either Rocket’s Scyther (with Team Rocket in its name) or the glossy vending card. The 2008 Galactic’s Conquest reprint uses the Pokémon Jungle art but has the number 094/096.)
FIRST SCYTHER · MAR 5, 1997?Scyther's first card came in Pokémon Jungle, the second Japanese expansion, released March 5, 1997 — over two years before the English Jungle set.

JAPANESE SCYTHER CARD CHECKLIST

[8 CARDS] 1997 JUNGLE TO 2023

Scyther’s first card was a 1997 Pokémon Jungle holo, and Team Rocket’s version followed as a Leaders’ Stadium holo in 1998. These 8 are the ones worth finding, from the glossy vending card and the 2004 Rocket’s Scyther ex to the 2008 reprint of the Jungle art and two shiny cards. The 4 marked ★ are the ones to look for first: the Pokémon Jungle holo, Rocket’s Scyther, Rocket’s Scyther ex and the 151 Master Ball mirror 123/165.
