FIRST MOLTRES · JUN 21, 1997?Moltres wasn’t in the 1996 Base Set or Jungle. Its first card came in Mystery of the Fossils, released June 21, 1997 — over two years before the English Fossil set.

Moltres skipped the 1996 Base Set and Jungle — its first card was a holo in Mystery of the Fossils in June 1997. It then got holos as Rocket’s Moltres and Blaine’s Moltres, a Pokémon-ex card, a TAG TEAM card with Zapdos and Articuno, a Galarian form and a Team Rocket ex. These 8 are the ones worth finding. The 5 marked ★ are the ones to look for first: the 1997 Mystery of the Fossils holo, Rocket’s Moltres holo, the TAG TEAM GX SR 060/054, the Galarian Moltres V SR 078/070 and the Team Rocket’s Moltres ex SAR 124/098.
