LAPRAS CARDS GUIDE (JP VER.?How do you tell Lapras cards apart?Check the number in the bottom corner (e.g. 131/165 on the 151 Lapras). The 1997 holo has no set number — the No.131 on it is the Pokédex number — so go by the Mystery of the Fossils set symbol. There are two Misty’s Lapras: 057/141 is the 2001 Pokémon VS common and 072/063 is the 2025 art rare.)
FIRST LAPRAS · JUN 21, 1997?Lapras's first card came in Mystery of the Fossils, released June 21, 1997 — over two years before the English Fossil set.

JAPANESE LAPRAS CARD CHECKLIST

[7 CARDS] 1997 FOSSIL TO 2026

Lapras’s first card was a 1997 Mystery of the Fossils holo, and Gym Leaders Pryce and Misty each got their own Lapras in the Japan-only Pokémon VS set. These 7 are the ones worth finding, from those VS commons to the modern art rares. The 4 marked ★ are the ones to look for first: the Mystery of the Fossils holo, the VSTAR Universe art rare 177/172, the 151 Master Ball mirror 131/165 and Misty’s Lapras AR 072/063.
