GOLDEEN CARDS GUIDE (JP VER.?How do you tell Goldeen cards apart?Check the number in the bottom corner (e.g. 118/165 on the 151 Goldeen). The 1997–1998 cards have no set number — the No.118 on them is the Pokédex number — so go by the set symbol, level and art: LV.12 is the Pokémon Jungle card and LV.8 is the Misty’s Goldeen drawn by Ken Sugimori; the other Misty’s Goldeen is drawn by Atsuko Nishida.)
FIRST GOLDEEN · MAR 5, 1997?Goldeen's first card came in Pokémon Jungle, the second Japanese expansion, released March 5, 1997 — over two years before the English Jungle set.

JAPANESE GOLDEEN CARD CHECKLIST

[5 CARDS] 1997 JUNGLE TO 2026

Goldeen’s first card was a 1997 Pokémon Jungle common, and most of its cards since have been commons too. The cards worth chasing are that first card, Misty’s Goldeen from the Japan-only Hanada City Gym deck, the 151 Master Ball mirror and the 2026 art rare, plus the second Misty’s Goldeen. These 5 are the ones worth finding. The 4 marked ★ are the ones to look for first: the Pokémon Jungle card, Misty’s Goldeen LV.8, the 151 Master Ball mirror 118/165 and the art rare 084/081.
