CUBONE CARDS GUIDE (JP VER.?How do you tell Cubone cards apart?Check the number in the bottom corner (e.g. 104/165 on the 151 Cubone). The 1997 and 1998 cards have no set number — the No.104 on them is the Pokédex number — so go by the set symbol, level and art: LV.13 is the Jungle card and LV.15 is the CoroCoro promo, which has a Bone Search attack.)
FIRST CUBONE · MAR 5, 1997?Cubone's first card came in Pokémon Jungle, the second Japanese expansion, released March 5, 1997 — over two years before the English Jungle set.

JAPANESE CUBONE CARD CHECKLIST

[7 CARDS] 1997 JUNGLE TO 2023

Cubone’s first card was in 1997’s Pokémon Jungle, the second Japanese set. It is a common almost every time, so its best Japanese cards are promos: a 1998 CoroCoro magazine card that never came out in English, a vending-machine card, a 2004 chocolate-campaign promo and a 2018 gym promo, plus the 151 Master Ball mirror. These 7 are the ones worth finding. The 3 marked ★ are the ones to look for first: the 1997 Jungle original, the 1998 CoroCoro promo and the 151 Master Ball mirror 104/165.
